Customer Reviews
Johnston, East Devon
Tom delivered an excellent service from start to finish. When we moved in, the garden was badly overgrown. With his help, we have turned it into an open space where mature plants can recover, and we can now add our own style. He is friendly, hardworking, and professional, and his team are the same. His knowledge is excellent. A five-star arborist you can trust.

Last year, Tom and his team cut a tall beech hedge and carried out thinning and crown reduction on two large trees in my garden. The service was friendly and professional, and the work was excellent. Everything was left clean and tidy, with great results at a fair price. I will definitely use them again for all hedge and tree work.
Andrew, Honiton
Excellent service, and a big thank you to Tom and his team. Tom is very knowledgeable and takes health and safety seriously, with very high standards. He provided a first-class, professional service throughout. The tree stump removal was handled smoothly from quote to completion, and the price was fair and competitive. He worked neatly and left my garden just as it was. I would happily recommend him to friends and family. Thanks again, Tom, for also planting my new jurassic tree fern.

Superb service and a huge amount of knowledge. Tom and Alex have done a couple of jobs for us, and we have been really impressed. Tom’s understanding of trees and what they need is excellent. They work brilliantly together, staying efficient and safe throughout. We would not think of using anyone else. We are looking forward to seeing them again later this year when the ash tree gets a trim. Tom, please get us booked in!

My family has used Blackdown Treescapes a few times for advice on pruning and caring for our fruit trees, and for supplying good-quality firewood for our wood burner. Tom is very knowledgeable and gave clear, expert guidance on how to keep our different fruit trees healthy and help improve their yield. They offer a range of woods at fair prices and are our first choice for firewood. I have recommended them to friends and family, and everyone who has used them has been very happy with the work.

Tom really does deserve five stars. He listened carefully to what we wanted, gave helpful advice, arrived on time, and did an excellent job. Everything was cleared away, with no mess left behind. He and Barney work brilliantly together, keeping a professional standard at a fair price. We would definitely hire them again. Thank you both.

Tom, Alex, and the team did a brilliant job. They pollarded a couple of struggling trees and felled another, and we are really pleased with the result. The work was tidy and exactly what we asked for. They also worked very hard to log all the wood for us, so we could move it ourselves. The quote was very competitive, and it was a real pleasure dealing with the team from start to finish. Thank you, we will definitely use them again.

Tom was an excellent teacher. As a complete beginner, he gave me the confidence to gain my maintenance and cross-cut qualification. Thank you, Tom.

Tom is a really nice person who knows his trees and does a brilliant job. He removed deadwood from four large trees and took down some huge monterey pine boughs. Each time, he left the area clean and tidy. I highly recommend him.
